Prin Duignan
Proinnsíos Ó Duigneáin holds an MA in modern history from NUIM and is a former outreach lecturer for this university. Among his publications are Linda Kearns: A Revolutionary Irishwoman; The Priest and the Protestant Woman; St. Joseph’s College, Manorhamilton and three pamphlets in the North Leitrim History series. He is the editor of the Irish language anthology ScríbhneoiríCoisTeorann. In 1990, in conjunction with his wife, Betty, he co-founded Drumlin Publications which has since published, Sean MacDiarmada: The Mind of the Revolution by Gerard MacAtasney. His contribution to the publication Leitrim: History and Society (1919) is titled The Public Career of Rev Thomas Maguire:1792-1847.
Prin is the author of ‘The Priest and the Protestant Woman’, ‘Linda Kearns: A Revolutionary Irish Woman’, ‘St Joseph’s College, Manorhamilton and Educational Initiatives 1930-1970’ and ‘North Leitrim in Famine Times’.
He is a former editor of the Irish language anthology, Scríbhneoir Cois Teorann, and his publishing company Drumlin Publications published the seminal work ‘Seán MacDiarmada: The Mind of the Revolution’ by Dr Gerard Mac Atasney.
